Master of the ball

NOTE: I’m out for another adventure and will be traveling for several months and won’t have access to my hard drive or my pics. This means I won’t be posting anything for a while. But I’ll try and make up for it. Hopefully I’ll come back with tons of interesting photos to share with you.

This guy often does tricks with the ball around Basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Paris. He truly is a master of the ball. He does some amazing things with the football ball. I took tons of his pics as I was really impressed. This is one of them.

On the other side of Brussels

This is on the other side of the canal in Brussels. Other being opposite to the city centre. In my experience it seems like lots of people who zip through the city on their european travels don’t find Brussels particularly interesting or attractive. But I couldn’t disagree more, I really like the city. Brussels is very unique, it has character and is a melting pot of many different nationalities and ethnicities. It doesn’t take long to walk around its neighbourhoods to see how different one is from the other. In a matter of days you can go from the historic city centre to the suits of european business capital to the busy streets of north african neighbourhoods right into Matonge, a lively home to a congolese community. And that still wouldn’t be the end of it.

The London Eye

I thought I’d keep it going with London since I don’t have that much more to come from it. It was the last leg of my tip and after a few nights with little sleep before London I remember being fairly tired and not too excited about taking pictures in the short time that I had. Regardless, I still had lots of fun walking around with my friend, enjoying the beautiful day. I did get a shot of the famous London Eye though.

Big Ben

I usually try not to shot against the sun, particularly when it’s brightest during the day. But as much as I would have loved to have the power I don’t get to decide the weather or its location in the sky. I remember thinking it looked nice with big ben pointing right onto it, so I thought I’d give it a shot.
I always take 3 shots if I’m going for HDR, because that’s a max my camera pulls. And most of the time that’s all you’ll need. But this is one of those moments when having 5 shots could have been pretty nice. Here’s what I got with 3.

London Tube part 2

Going over my london files makes me think that I really like taking pictures underground, I’ve got a bunch of the tube. I kidna like how much livelier they come out in HDR. Here are the 3 exposures:

And below is the final HDR. It’s not an overly exciting scene to begin with, but look at how it brings some realism; some colour and life into it. Pretty cool isn’t it? I find it cool :)
